Memorial Day in the time of fighting two foreign fronts, Iraq and Afghanistan, and COVID19 on the home front. If any generation can handle it, this one can. How do I know? Just read the journal.
Melissa. On the day she could be doing anything she wants, she chooses to help her sister learn to read in a measurable way, on Khan Academy. If that isn't proof of purposefulness, I don't know what is.
Nataly. Another person who could be performing one of a million activities, she chooses to explore a new app, Planner5d, to create designs for living spaces. Amazing.
This is why I teach. Right now, I'm still reading about how to help students better learn, and what concepts will be important to THEIR future, not the adults' past. So, I'm into drones with improved obstacle avoidance, AI, data visualization software, and advanced PE techniques. When we exit this quarantine, you'll see it's a great time to be alive. Today though, I'm honoring all those who gave their lives so that we could enjoy peace and freedom, the ideas most take for granted. The ideas that most people on earth would appreciate.
Thanks again for reading and writing. When you do this every day, your mind's wiring grows stronger and faster.
