Hello Everybody!
What's happening?
Melissa, really proud of you for helping your little sister with math. It's so important that kids have access to somebody who can help them with schoolwork, especially math. Nobody likes to feel like they can't learn. When teachers don't explain something well enough, kids feel like it's their fault for not being able to learn. Read my reply to Alisa, and you'll better understand the process. I explained all this before you transferred to 514. Thanks again for all you do to help yourself, and your family. Are you trying any art? Would you like to check out an OSMO?I can arrange that. 🧸🎨
Alisa, you know what? I forgot that you didn't start the year with us. You missed the story about how learning happens in your mind. When a new piece of information enters your senses, your nervous system sends it to your brain. Your brain must then find a place for this information to be stored and retrieved, just like a computer. So anything new, anything challenging, seems that way because of this system. Once you practice something over and over and over and over, your brain can not only access the information, it can cross reference it against other pieces of information, and it actually PROTECTS and STRENGTHENS that connection with thicker insulation around your nerves. Amazing huh? So next time, remember this, and maybe you won't let your frustration interfere with your efforts. What do you think? 🧸🎹
Gilbert, ok you got me. The Jonas Brothers are on my workout playlist. Can't play it too loud or the neighbors will hear. Thanks for the update on Jayden. Hope he is ok. Thanks for the Yanshee feedback. Supposedly, you can connect him to Raspberry Pi because they have the same operating system. I was hoping school would reopen so I could challenge you with that one. When school does reopen, and things calm down, you could visit after school and try it out. I'm planning on having as many of you return to help instruct with robots. What do you tin?
